What does this mean to Internet users?  These statistics can mean more than just having an extra number to carry around.  If you are a business, then you can leverage these target markets for specific sales.  For instance, the United States has 69% of individuals using the Internet and makes up 25% of Internet use around the world.  If you focus on sales for the US alone, you will most likely get results.

Of course, just having the statistics isn’t enough to get the right results, whether you want a target market for your business or an audience for your own entertainment.  You also want to make sure that you are able to tap into the interests of the area.  China and Japan and their use of the Internet are different in focus than those in Germany or the UK.  If you really want to leverage this list, then finding out the interests of the area can help you to gain the right attention.
